MOMMY MAKEOVERS

Pregnancy, childbirth, and breast-feeding are very special events in a women’s life. Unfortunately, all of these alter the body permanently in most cases.

A Mommy makeover is a series of surgical procedure that addresses the changes to a woman’s body after having children. Mommy makeovers generally involve a variety of procedures such as abdominoplasty (also known as a tummy tuck) to tighten a woman’s stretched abdominal muscles, liposuction to remove excess fat and shape the body, and a breast lift, that may or may not include augmentation with implants, to add volume to sagging breasts.
MOST MOMMY MAKEOVERS INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURES:

ABDOMINOPLASTY (TUMMY TUCK):
The tummy tuck portion of the mommy makeover will remove (from the lower abdomen) the excess skin and stretch marks that are a result of pregnancy – to create a much tighter appearance to the abdomen. During this procedure the abdominal muscles are also tightened to give women a more sculpted and tighter abdomen. These results are usually not attainable with diet and exercise alone.

LIPOSUCTION:
Liposuction often plays a large part in Mommy makeovers. Dr. Mazaheri will often perform liposuction to the thighs or flanks regions, to sculpt the body to a more youthful appearance.

MASTOPEXY (BREAST LIFT):
Often as a result of pregnancy or breast-feeding a woman can experience a change in the appearance of their breasts. This can include a loss of firmness, shape, and breast volume. Some women who are satisfied with the size of their breasts will have a breast lift to raise and firm their breasts, which results in what many feel to be a more youthful appearance. Those patients that are unsatisfied with the amount of breast volume that remains, often choose to have a breast lift with breast implants, to increase the size and fullness of their breasts.
